November Naming Contest Winner(s)December 4, 2009
Our Novemeber forum contest was to help us come up with some event names for our spring and fall events. Moving away from the 7.0 format (I'm sure people will still track this on the side), these new names will represent Rdot for years to come.
Congratulations to Kevin Deeley for his winning submission for the Fall event and the Shaun Silzer for his Spring entry. Kevin will receive free entry into the May event and Shaun gets a punch in the gut.
And the new names are:

Rdot ChilLAN 2010 - taking place at the Conexus Arts Centre on October 8-9, 2010

We will be running several competitions out of our forums over the next couple months that will allow you the avid gamer free admitance to the next R-dot event.

Mark your calendars for the launch party of Borderlands at The Zone Gaming this coming Sunday:
Date: Sunday November 8th, 6 - 9 PM
Cost: $15/3 hours
Over $1000 in crazy prizes will be given away including a Nvidia GTX 260 Core 216 Superclocked, gift certificates, limited edition t-shirts, and more! Prizes will be both raffled away and given to players who demonstrate their skill.

R-dot 6.1 we have great successOctober 25, 2009
The event was another great success thanks to our sponsors and the attendee's.
We had the oppotunity to run double elim tournaments for nearly every event and everyone had plenty of gaming action.
Stay tuned to the web site and forum over the next couple weeks as we will be releasing information on the next event and introducing a few new promotions.
A big thanks the our hardcore players that came out and to the new people. You guys really made this an excellent event for everyone.

The day is here peoples, dust off your mouse pads and clean the crumbs out of your keybaords... it's go time.
Remember doors officially open at 7pm and we are at our new location the Conexus Arts Cetner, in the Jackie S room. Best way to get your gear inside is to go to the south west corner doors. We will have signs.
Install your software, patch your games, be ready!

Five more sleeps till go time! I don't know about y'all but I'm looking forward to this R-dot more than ever. It is going to be a blast.

Registration Open! 6.1 IncomingSeptember 10, 2009
Registration is now open for the October R-dot 6.1 Event. Sign 'em up as this is going to be our largest event yet. New location (Conexus) so stay tuned for all of info on that. Bigger, faster, better.
We have more tournament action packed in for this event with some double elimination coming your way.
We have some different games lined up for tournaments to test your mad skillz. More information will be posted in the forums. You asked for it, we are delivering it.
Pricing is the same as last event with $25 pre pay, online and we will have it setup with our good friends at OTV again (soon). $30 at the door for all of you last minute peeps.
And lastly I heard a rumor that the original Pong that kicked off the old school games tournament will be resurfacing... if you believe rumors.

More leg room!06/04/2009
Hey all, I hope everyones having a good start to their summer and we just wanted to let out some good news before everyone gets busy with the nice weather.. Who am I kidding, you guys are will be sitting in your basements gaming the whole summer away, and I'll be right there doing the same :)
Back to the good news.. We've been in talks with the Conexus Arts Centre and looks like we'll be switching venues from the West Harvest Inn to the Conexus for our next event and all upcoming R-Dot's as well. They have a very large room we're going to take advantage of, and are excited to move to. This will allow us to expand for more people, it already has WAY more power to us (for all you fish tank case ppl), and will let us eventually expand into some consoles/big screen displays!
So our fall and next spring event dates are already set. They will be October 23rd-24th 2009 and May 15th-16th 2010 at the Conexus Arts Centre. Book the time off work, put it in your calandars and get ready for, literally, the BIGGEST R-Dot to date!
On a side note, I'd like to thank the staff at the West Harvest Inn for the past few years in support and helping us evolve R-Dot into what it is today. They were always very helpful and we wish them luck in the future.

6.0 is in the books and it was good times for all. Some great competition, great people and great prizes. I wanted to extend a personal thanks to everyone that made it out to the event to make it a success. I want to thank all the sponsors for helping us out once again.
A special thanks to OTV for our major door prizes, I think there are a few happy gamers out there right now. Along with our other local sponsors Italian Star, Access Comm, Sector Squad and TMC.
Stick around the site for updates, we plan to make a few announecments in the coming weeks as to the future expansion of r-dot.
